Instagram the next platform to provide access to data portability

Up until this point, there was a lack of access to data portability, which puts users at the mercy of the company's policy, but that is about to change.

In order for Instagram to comply with the data portability rule in EU GDPR privacy law, which goes into effect on May 25th, it is necessary for them to make these changes. The data download tool is accessible to everyone on the web, although Android is still rolling it out, iOS is available. The download contains you profile info, photos, videos, archived Stories (those posted after December 2017), your post and story captions, your uploaded contacts, the usernames of your followers and people you follow, Direct messages, non-ephemeral Direct message photos and videos, comments, Likes, searches, and settings. All this is to comply with access to data portability.
